 Rusk Paste- This product is a new find for me. I used to be in love with Pureology texture twist but they discontinued it( I really hate when they do discontinue my favorites). I mostly use this product to separate and define my curls. I only apply is to my ends because you don't want to weigh down your hair too much, and a little goes a long way. LEOPARD COMFORT

Happy hump day! I didn't have a camera the other day when we were out and about running errands, so we just snapped a couple of shots on my phone. Please forgive the blurriness and poor quality of the photos. I wanted to blog this outfit because I love it, I love anything leopard print of course. These are my favorite sweatpants ever, I lived in them when I was pregnant. They are Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani, I absolutely love this brand and I have been so sad because it literally just disappeared and she stopped making it. I have a ton of pieces from Harajuku Lovers, and I hope one day the brand will make a come back. This outfit is perfect for running errands with the little ones, sometimes I don't like to wear my nice clothes around them because they end up covered in yogurt and baby slobber. BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS 21 DAY FIX

I finished up my last total body cardio workout today and I'm so proud of myself for sticking with the 21 Day Fix.  In the past three weeks of diet and exercise I am happy with my results. The pictures on the left hand side below with my hair pulled up were taken on September 1, 2014 and the pictures on the right hand side were taken September 22, 2014. Exactly 21 days apart. I know there might not be huge changes in the photos, but I can tell that my shirt and shorts both fit looser in both after pictures. I lost a total of 5.2 lbs and 9.8 inches. I have been able to fit into some of my pre-pregnancy clothes which feels amazing. I can't wait to continue on this weight loss journey and also get back into lifting so I can build lean muscle. I love to feel strong and have a tight and tone body.

 I don't doubt that I could have lost this weight much faster if I had decided not to nurse my twins for a year, but I don't regret it at all. I know it was the best thing for both of them especially because they were born six weeks early. It was worth it to put my babies first and focus solely on their health and well being. I know because I made that sacrifice of putting my weight loss on hold, that that is one of the reasons they are as healthy, and strong, and doing as well as they are today. Some people lose weight like crazy when they breast feed. I was definitely not one of those people, I think my body held onto the extra fat to help produce plenty of milk to provide for two babies. I just want to let moms know that there is no time line to lose your weight after giving birth. Don't compare yourself to others because everyone's genetics and body makeups are so different. You don't need to try and keep up with celebrities and lose your weight within one month of giving birth. You have to remember they have nannies, chefs, and personal trainers. Anyone could get in shape so easily with all that help. I also believe if you lose the weight correctly by changing your lifestyle and eating a healthy well balanced diet, while incorporating exercising you will not only lose the weight but you will keep it off. Its been a hard change getting back into eating really healthy because you know when your pregnant you have to eat what doesn't make you throw up and sometimes that is some sort of junk food, or Gatorade or whatever you can keep down. After eating that way for 9 months you get out of the habit of eating healthy. I can't lie after having my twins I was so tired and I could have cared less about meal prepping and working out, I took a nap over doing anything else. It takes time to get into a routine with your babies and that is totally ok, just do it at your own pace and don't get down on yourself because its taking you longer to get back in shape than someone else. Sorry for the long post, I just feel so strongly about women not getting down on themselves about their bodies after giving birth. You created a miracle and you should be so proud of yourself, you can get back in shape and I have faith that you will. Be patient and honestly trust the process of a healthy diet and exercising. Todays workout was great, I love yoga. I'm pretty sure I'm hooked on yoga now, its such a great workout that you feel so good and relaxed after you are done. My favorite meal today was 4 slices of turkey bacon(one red container) and 2 tomatoes (one green container).

21 DAY FIX REALLY WORKS

I have almost made it the full 21 days. It's been a lot of work but its worth it because I am losing inches and I'm so excited. I have two days left and even though I really want a treat I'm going to stay strong and continue the container diet. I have to say the Shakeology drinks have helped curb my cravings. I'm really excited for yoga tomorrow because my body is absolutely exhausted.

TUXEDO PANTS

I wore this outfit to my friends wedding reception last weekend and I was so excited because I love these pants and I finally fit into them again. Thanks to the 21 Day Fix I'm losing inches and some of my old clothes are fitting, best feeling ever being able to wear my pre pregnancy clothes. I'm obsessed with this necklace I scored from Nordstrom Rack on clearance, it was exactly what I have been searching for. I feel like you just need a few key pieces of jewelry and you can match them with any outfit. I already have a great silver and gold necklace so I had been searching for a black one that could match with a lot of outfits. I'm telling you guys I am loving all black and white looks lately this was the second one I wore in a week. I hope this post can give you a little outfit inspiration have a great weekend.

21 DAY FIX UPDATE

I'm really happy with the 21 Day Fix program. I can't lie its been really hard to stay on top of the eating and exercising while taking care of my twins. The program works when you stick with it. I am losing inches, I think it was the key to kick-starting my weight loss. I was kind of stuck trying to get rid of the rest of my baby weight, but since starting the 21 day fix I have consistently been losing inches. One of my favorite shakeology recipes this past week has been chocolate spice, its the perfect protein shake for fall. It counts as one red container and one yellow container.

 The recipe is:
4 fluid oz. unsweetened almond milk
4 fluid oz. water
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
8 fluid oz. ice

I'm so excited I'm starting to fit into some of my old clothes from before my pregnancy. Granted they are a little tight, but hey I'm not complaining because I can get them on now thanks to the 21 Day Fix. I've heard that it takes 21 days to form a habit, so after I'm done with the 21 day fix I'm going to do my best to continue working out everyday and eating really clean. Today's outfit is really simple, and really comfy, you could wear this to church or out for a dinner date. I love black and white together its so classic and chic. Have a great Wednesday.

21 DAY FIX DAY 15

Its the third and final week of the 21 Day Fix and the workouts are getting a little bit easier. I know its just because I have been consistent with working out everyday. Although the cardio workouts are still really tough and I do have to modify a couple of the exercises I feel so good after I complete the workout.

A WHOLE LOT OF COLOR

This is my last week of 21 Day Fix. This program is working, I'm losing inches and I'm so glad. I still have quite a ways to go until my body is where I want it to be, but every lost inch is a huge success for me. I'm excited to share my final results of how much I have lost next week. Now about today's outfit, I'm trying to enjoy every day of sunshine I can, I'm not ready for cold weather. I don't want to put away my sandals yet, so I'm wearing shorts and sandals until the weather no longer allows it. I'm obsessed with all the color happening in this outfit, it matches my personality perfectly.

Man my body is exhausted from working out everyday this week, I'm really looking forward to yoga today. The way they schedule the workouts is perfect, by the time your body is so tired you get to do yoga and get all reenergized for the next week of workouts.

I'm getting a lot more used to eating the container way, I love how the containers make it easy to know your proportions sizes. I wish they provided how many you need of each container, for example I get to eat three green containers a day(vegetables) I wish they provided three green containers because I hate having to wash them over and over throughout the day. I also think it would make it easier to prepare your food the night before.

All I can say is wow, leg day is a killer. It's called lower body fix and its seriously a half an hour of squatting and lunging, I am crazy sore today but its a good sore because I know my legs are got a great workout. My workouts are starting to become easier and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out during the workouts. The dieting is also becoming more of a routine and I'm not having as many cravings now. I feel so good after I finished my workout today. As much as I hate the total body cardio, I love it at the same time because I know its whipping my booty into shape. I really love make my Shakeology shakes and I look forward to them everyday. They are so delicious and so good for you!

I'm so proud of myself I have completed my first week of the 21 day program. Its been hard but I feel so good. I have already lost quite a few inches so that keeps me motivated to keep going. I am loving these workouts, they work and that's the best part about them. I'm losing this weight, finally!!!

I'm in love with this backpack, if you follow me on Instagram you already know my husband surprised me with this bag a couple of weeks ago. I have seriously wanted this backpack since I saw it on Aria, from Pretty Little Liars a few years ago. The first picture shows Aria wearing it. I seriously cannot believe I finally own my very own Rebecca Minkoff bag. I have been using this backpack as a diaper bag, because its the perfect size to take out to dinner. This outfit was from over the weekend, we went out to eat, to celebrate our anniversary and I felt like such a stylish mommy with my studded backpack/diaper bag. 21 DAY FIX DAY 6

I've almost made it a week and I'm so sore. Although its been really hard to make sure I get my workout in everyday, once I finish the workout I'm so glad that I pushed myself to do it. Its felt so good to eat clean and workout everyday. Today was the Dirty 30 and it was a tough workout. Lots of lunges and squats added  in with shoulder exercises. Lets just say I am sore after the Dirty 30. I'm so proud of myself for eating so well and working out all week.

21 DAY FIX DAY 5

Wow cardio fix was a tough one! I was exhausted by the end! Today I had the most delicious protein shake. The containers it counted as was one red container and three teaspoons.

 The recipe is:
8 fluid oz. water
1 scoop Chocolate shakeology
3 tsp. all-natural peanut butter
1/4 medium banana
8 fluid oz. ice

Place water, shakeology, peanut butter, banana, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. If you haven't tried shakeology before its a great source of protein and makes the best shakes.

21 DAY FIX DAY 4

I absolutely loved the workout set for day four. It was Pilates and I really recommend Pilates to anyone. I know Pilates helps you to develop long and lean muscles which is exactly what I want, a  nice long lean and tone body. My favorite meal from today was greek yogurt(red container) with berries(purple container) and granola (yellow container). Although I'm really sore, I feel so good eating so clean and exercising everyday. I'm loving the 21 day fix so far and I really feel like this might jumpstart my weight loss.

21 DAY FIX DAY 3

I'm already getting into the habit of working out everyday. I actually looked forward to it today because I know how good I feel after I get done. Day three was leg day and it was tough, I had to modify some exercises because my legs were shaking and felt like jello. I'm really looking forward to becoming more fit and have more stamina for my workouts. Following the eating plan is getting easier each day. My favorite meal to eat has been 4 slices of turkey bacon (one red container) one tomato (one green container) with watermelon (one purple container). My body feels so good eating so clean, I don't feel bloated, I have more energy. Although eating super clean and cutting your calories is hard, it really is worth it for how great you feel.

21 DAY FIX DAY 2

Wow I was so sore after day one, I was thinking to myself how on earth am I going to complete another workout? I somehow got through the upper body fix, thank goodness it was upper body because my legs were so sore I don't think I could have done another cardio fix. The meal plan is already getting easier to follow and I prepared some of my food in the containers the night before. That way when I got hungry I could just eat instead of having to cook when I was starving. I'm not going to lie, I still felt weak on day two with eating less calories, and adding working out into my day.

I'VE NEVER SEEN A SPIDER SO CUTE

I can't believe its already time to start thinking about what my kiddos are going to be for Halloween. There are so many cute options. I have to show you guys how cute these costumes are that my sister-in-law makes. She specializes in tutu's like the ones my cute baby girl is modeling below, as well as some of the cutest Disney Princess tutu's I have ever seen. She also makes desserts and cakes for any special occasion. DAY 1 OF 21 DAY FIX

Monday September 1st was day one of my 21 day fix, and I can't lie it was really hard. They make it easy for you and give you a chart of what workouts you need to do that day. I completed the total body cardio fix and I thought I was going to pass out. I had to do some of the modified versions for certain exercises because I felt like I was going to die, it was tough. I'm hoping working out gets easier as I continue to do it everyday. I never want to get this out of shape again, cause its much harder losing the weight, than maintaining your weight. 


Before you begin you have to figure out your calorie level, they give you some easy math to figure out where you should be. I fall into the 1,200-1,499 category. As you can see below it shows how many of each container you get to eat. The containers are color coded so it is really easy to figure out. No counting calories you just fill up your containers and that's what you can eat for the day. I felt really weak yesterday because I'm used to eating more carbs than this program allows, but I feel like my body will adjust. On the left side of the chart it shows the color of container, and the right side shows how many of that color you get that day.

In the picture below it shows what the color of the container represents, for instance green is for vegetables. The booklet also has listed the food options you can use to fill your containers. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing examples of what I have been eating for meals and snacks. I'll also let you know how my workouts are going. I feel like blogging about this is going to help keep me accountable.
